How to book Fukuchiyo
Fukuchiyo is four houses, each let to one party, with one dinner sitting for all of them. Rooms open on set dates months ahead, stays are one night only and paid in full in advance, and the Inner House cannot be booked online at all.
Why it is hard from abroad
- Some rooms booked only by telephone, in Japanese
- Rooms released on set dates, months ahead
Good to know
- One night only: no consecutive nights
- Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and on some other days
- No children below junior-high-school age
- Dinner is at 17:00 for everyone; late arrivals may get fewer dishes
