Onyado Fukuchiyo (Nabeshima Auberge)
Onyado Fukuchiyo is an auberge of four houses, each let whole to one party, opened from 2021 by Fukuchiyo Shuzo, the brewery behind Nabeshima sake, in Hizen Hamashuku, an Edo-period post and port town in Kashima, Saga, whose brewery street is a national preservation district. The thatched Main House holds the six-seat counter Soan Nabeshima, where guests of all four houses dine on a Japanese course paired with Nabeshima sake; the other houses are a merchant's house on the brewery street with a sauna, a thatched Meiji-era fisherman's house and a house by Kengo Kuma & Associates.

Main House (Hontei)
over 200 sq m · garden, from the veranda view · A thatched merchant's house for two to four, with bedrooms on both floors, a double-height library with music, lounge, tea room, indoor and open-air baths and a minibar · Soan Nabeshima is on the ground floor. The only house let with dinner and breakfast.
Garden Villa (Hanare)
a 104 sq m Japanese garden fed by the old brewing waterway, with the Main House's thatch beyond view · A renovated merchant's house on the brewery street whose sign still bears the old trade name Totoya, for two to four: ground-floor living and dining room (about 27.5 sq m, under a 4.3 m sloping ceiling) and bedroom, semi-open-air bath, sauna, cold plunge and terrace · upstairs a twin bedroom, a 4.5-tatami room and a bathroom. Dinner only.
Private Villa (Okutei)
a courtyard view · A two-storey thatched fisherman's house built by the early Meiji period at the latest, in the Shokin district, where the family made dried fish flakes · the old irori hearth remains in the entrance. For one or two: earth-floored living room, ground-floor bedroom, indoor bath, minibar, upstairs lounge and library under the thatch with a large television, floor heating. Opened 2023 · a 10-minute walk from the Main House. Dinner only.
Inner House (Bettei)
a garden, from the corridor view · A house at the entrance to the brewery street by Kengo Kuma & Associates, for one or two, with the rooms on the upper floor: bedroom and living room under Kuma's floating kumiko lights, a minibar stocked with Nabeshima, gallery and bathroom. Dinner only · booked by email or phone, not online.

Tell us your dates and our team in Japan books it for you, at the hotel’s own rate. We ask for the room we would choose and look after everything else with the hotel on your behalf: your preferences and requests, any special arrangement, from a celebration to a car from the station, and whatever you need before and during your stay. The price and cancellation terms are confirmed with you first.
Saga Airport, about 50 minutes by booked limousine taxi to Hizen-Hama station, then a 6-minute walk; Nagasaki Airport, about 10 minutes by taxi to Shin-Omura, the Shinkansen to Takeo-Onsen (about 15 minutes), then train or taxi as above.
