Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, A Belmond Hotel, Oxfordshire
Closed for a redevelopment of its gardens, rooms and culinary spaces; reopening in 2027, the restaurant in summer 2027.
Reopened on 1 October 2026 after closing for renovation from 1 June to 30 September 2026; three more restaurants are due by December 2026, and spa treatments are given at Mandarin Oriental The Landmark meanwhile.

HOTEL THE MITSUI HAKONE, a Luxury Collection Hotel & Spa
The second Hotel The Mitsui, on fourteen hectares at Kowakudani where the Mitsui family kept their villas, inside Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park with its own hot spring in every room. Opens 15 December 2026.
2025 · Mount Fuji
Gora Kadan Fuji is the Hakone ryokan's second house, opened in July 2025 at Subashiri, Oyama, on the eastern foot of Mount Fuji, looking due west at the summit. Its 42 all-suite rooms, three of them detached villas, have tatami sukiya-style rooms and private baths, with four restaurants on one floor, hot-spring baths and an infinity pool beside a 36-hole golf course.

A hotel of 200 rooms and suites on floors 23 to 30 of The Linkpillar 1 South, a 30-storey tower at Takanawa Gateway City directly connected to Takanawa Gateway station, between Shinagawa and Tamachi. Low-lit, wood-panelled interiors by Yabu Pushelberg draw on Zen gardens and the Edo-period views of Goten-yama, with Tokyo Bay on one side and Tokyo Tower on the other.

Londoner Grand, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Macao
Londoner Grand is a 2,405-room hotel on the Cotai Strip, opened in early 2025 as Macao's first Luxury Collection hotel. Peter Silling & Associates drew on London's Georgian architecture, with panelling, marble and Mayfair-inspired artwork, and it holds a private hotel within, Paiza Grand, of 313 suites with dedicated Grand Butlers.
2025 · Osaka
Patina's first city hotel, a 20-storey, 221-key building a minute's walk from Osaka Castle Park, looking over the castle park and Naniwa-no-miya Park, opened on 1 May 2025. Architecture by Jun Mitsui & Associates and interiors by Strickland in wood, plaster, washi and stone, taking cues from the castle's copper roofs and moats.
2025 · Suzhou
A 190-key Ritz-Carlton in the China Central Place development on Guangji South Road in Suzhou's old-city Gusu district, opened in March 2025. A high-rise by KPF whose facade reworks layered blue-tile roofs and folding-fan screens, with black-on-white interiors and a classical-style garden inside.

The St. Regis Shenzhen Bao'an has 289 rooms on the upper floors of the 51-storey OCT Ruiwan Tower in the centre of Shenzhen's Bao'an District, along Qianhai Bay, with a double-height sky lobby on the 35th floor. Aedas turned the tower 45 degrees so that its two main façades face the bay.
2025 · Florence
W's second Italian hotel, opened in July 2025 in the former Grand Hotel Majestic on Piazza dell'Unità Italiana, beside Santa Maria Novella. The building is Lando Bartoli's 1968 rationalist block of stone, slit windows and bronze fins, now holding 102 rooms, 16 suites and a penthouse around a part-covered courtyard, with a rooftop bar facing the Duomo.

Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan
Casa Brera is a hotel of 101 rooms and 15 suites on the pedestrian Piazzetta Bossi, a few steps from La Scala and Brera, in a 1950s Rationalist building by Pietro Lingeri. Patricia Urquiola restored it inside with walnut, Italian marbles and Cassina and Poliform furniture, and the eighth-floor roof has a restaurant, sky bar and outdoor pool.
2024 · Ho Chi Minh City
JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon
JW Marriott's first hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, opened in September 2024 on the corner of Hai Ba Trung Street and Le Duan Boulevard in District 1, linked directly to the mPlaza Saigon complex. Two towers: a 21-storey hotel tower with 305 rooms and suites and a 31-storey residential tower with 260 one- to three-bedroom suites, with a rooftop JW Garden of more than 1,000 sq m.

A hotel opened in December 2024 in a tower of the One Bangkok district on Wireless Road, looking over Lumpini Park. It has 260 rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows, many with balconies, and interiors that set Thai craft against a contemporary frame.

The St. Regis on the Bund, Shanghai
A 192-key St. Regis at 538 Zhongshan East No. 2 Road, at the Bund Finance Center end of the Bund in Huangpu, looking across the Huangpu River to Pudong. The copper-toned building is by Foster + Partners and Heatherwick Studio; inside is 1920s Shanghai Art Deco with Su embroidery and magnolia motifs, and butler service for every room.
2024 · Tokyo
An 86-room hotel in a 14-storey tower at 2-8-13 Ginza, just off Chuo-dori in Ginza 2-chome, EDITION's second in Tokyo after Toranomon. Kengo Kuma wrapped the building in a latticed metal facade and vertical gardens; inside are walnut-panelled rooms on floors 3 to 13, a lobby bar, a Punch Room on the lobby mezzanine, an Italian restaurant on the 14th floor and a rooftop bar above it.
2023 · Kyoto
A Dusit Thani of 147 rooms and suites set around a courtyard on Nishinotoin-dori in Shimogyo, in the Hongan-ji monzen-machi temple quarter near Nishi Hongan-ji, 850 metres from Kyoto Station. The interiors mix the aesthetics of Kyoto and Ayutthaya, and the restaurants are Thai as much as Japanese.
2023 · Nara
Shisui, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nara
A 43-room hotel on the western edge of Nara Park, set in the Yoshikien garden that was once part of the grounds of Kofuku-ji, with Kasuga Taisha, Kofuku-ji and Todai-ji around it. Reception, restaurant and lounge occupy the low wooden residence built in 1922 for the governor of Nara, entered through its original roofed gate, and the design and interiors are by Kengo Kuma & Associates.
2023 · Edinburgh
W Edinburgh has 199 rooms and 45 suites across three buildings around St James Square: the 12-storey Ribbon, the newly built stone-faced Quarter House, and James Craig Walk, a heritage-listed Georgian terrace of 1775. SUSHISAMBA and the W Lounge occupy the top floors, whose terraces look out from Arthur's Seat to the sea.
