Which to choose
Zaborin or Shiguchi?
Both are in the woods of Hanazono, outside Niseko, and both put the hot spring in your own villa rather than in a shared bath. Zaborin is a ryokan of villa suites with kita kaiseki served in private alcoves; Shiguchi is a handful of villas in old Aizu farmhouses, with French-technique cooking at the restaurant next door.

Q&A
Zaborin runs a free shuttle to the Hanazono ski centre, about seven minutes away, in the ski season. Shiguchi offers free pick-up within Hanazono.
No. Zaborin has a footbath in its courtyard and Shiguchi a spa room and private sauna, but all hot-spring bathing is in your villa.
