Which to choose
Kamenoi Bessou or Sanso Murata?
Both are inns of detached houses in the woods of Yufuin, each house with its own hot-spring bath. Kamenoi Bessou began in 1921 as the villa of the man who made Beppu a resort, beside Lake Kinrin; Sanso Murata is a set of old farmhouses, moved and rebuilt in the woods at Kawakami.
