Shiguchi
SHIGUCHI is a set of five villas in three 150-year-old farmhouses from Aizu, dismantled and rebuilt with nail-free joinery in a wooded valley in Hanazono, outside Niseko, by the photographer and hotelier Shouya Grigg. Each villa has its own spring-fed bath, kitchen and pieces from Grigg's art collection, and meals are taken next door at Somoza, a restored farmhouse gallery and restaurant.
