Which to choose
Gora Kadan or Gora Kadan Fuji?
Gora Kadan is the original, an inn since 1948 in the former summer villa of Prince Kan'in at Gora in Hakone, with baths from its own three springs. Gora Kadan Fuji, its second house, opened in July 2025 at Subashiri, with every suite looking towards the summit of Mount Fuji. The first is an old house where dinner comes to your room; the second is a new building with several restaurants, a pool and a separate bath house.

Q&A
It is the same house's second ryokan, opened in July 2025 at Subashiri, at the foot of Mount Fuji. It is a new building, with Kaiseki KADAN and three other restaurants on one floor, rather than an old villa.
At Gora Kadan the kaiseki is generally served in the room, except in the Meigetsu and Senshin annexes, which dine in Kaiseki Kadan. At Gora Kadan Fuji dinner is taken in the restaurants, with seatings from 18:00 to 19:00.
Gora Kadan opens its rooms on set dates months ahead, some by telephone only, and Gora Kadan Fuji now opens new bookings the same way. Our team in Japan books both at the hotel's own rate.
