It is built for Seminyak's nightlife, around a rice-terrace pool with resident DJs and a beach club, in a modern take on Balinese design by SCDA.

A 403-room hotel in a 31-storey glass tower on North Sathorn Road in Bangkok's Silom–Sathorn business district, paired with The House on Sathorn, an 1889 neo-classical mansion next door that was the Russian embassy until 1999 and now holds its restaurants and bars. The tower's interiors by SODA set W's neon edge against Thai myths and folklore.

A 349-room beach resort on the West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, opened in February 2019 as the first W Escape in the Middle East, with a private beach and a WET Deck of wave-shaped pools facing the Dubai skyline. Its design plays desert dunes and coastline against the geometry of the city's towers, from a five-storey atrium lobby to a 30-metre glass 'Soundwave' sculpture.

SUSHISAMBA and the W Lounge occupy the top floors, whose terraces look out from Arthur's Seat to the sea.

The building is Lando Bartoli's 1968 rationalist block of stone, slit windows and bronze fins, now holding 102 rooms, 16 suites and a penthouse around a part-covered courtyard, with a rooftop bar facing the Duomo.

Japan's first W, opened on 16 March 2021 on Midosuji Boulevard in Minami Semba, between Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. Tadao Ando's black monolith façade hides interiors by the Amsterdam studio concrete, in neon and colour, across 337 rooms and suites up to the 27th floor.

W's first hotel in Italy, opened in December 2021 across two adjoining 19th-century palazzi on Via Liguria, near the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Behind the period façades Meyer Davis set colourful leather furniture against stone walls, with a Sicilian restaurant, an open-air courtyard and a sixth-floor deck and rooftop pizza bar.

A hotel of 405 rooms and suites in a 31-storey tower above Taipei City Hall Bus Station on Zhongxiao East Road, in the Xinyi business district, with City Hall MRT station beneath it and Taipei 101 about ten minutes' walk away. The lobby, bar, French restaurant and outdoor pool share the 10th floor; GA Design International's 'nature electrified' interiors were toned down to wood, green and sunset orange in a refurbishment finished in January 2025.
