Sathorn, Bangkok
W Bangkok
A 403-room hotel in a 31-storey glass tower on North Sathorn Road in Bangkok's Silom–Sathorn business district, paired with The House on Sathorn, an 1889 neo-classical mansion next door that was the Russian embassy until 1999 and now holds its restaurants and bars. The tower's interiors by SODA set W's neon edge against Thai myths and folklore.

A 31-floor glass tower with interiors by the Thai firm SODA, which set W's neon edge against Thai myths: a wall-length crystal mural of a phoenix and a tiger in the W Lounge and a pair of Siamese cats at the WET Deck. The House on Sathorn next door, built in 1889 as a private house, a hotel by the 1920s and the Russian embassy from mid-century to 1999, was restored under the Fine Arts Department with interiors by AvroKO of New York and opened in 2015.
