W's second Italian hotel, opened in July 2025 in the former Grand Hotel Majestic on Piazza dell'Unità Italiana, beside Santa Maria Novella. The building is Lando Bartoli's 1968 rationalist block of stone, slit windows and bronze fins, now holding 102 rooms, 16 suites and a penthouse around a part-covered courtyard, with a rooftop bar facing the Duomo.

W Florence opened in 2025. It was last renovated in 2025: conversion of the 1968 Grand Hotel Majestic into W Florence: architecture by Genius Loci Architettura, interiors by AvroKO.
The building was designed by the Florentine architect Lando Bartoli in 1968 as the Grand Hotel Majestic; Genius Loci Architettura restored it to LEED Gold and WELL Silver standards, AvroKO did the interiors in a 1960s–70s Italian fashion register, and Adam Ellis Studio painted the Medici menagerie mural at reception. Opened July 2025.
