Palm Jumeirah, Dubai
W Dubai - The Palm
A 349-room beach resort on the West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, opened in February 2019 as the first W Escape in the Middle East, with a private beach and a WET Deck of wave-shaped pools facing the Dubai skyline. Its design plays desert dunes and coastline against the geometry of the city's towers, from a five-storey atrium lobby to a 30-metre glass 'Soundwave' sculpture.

W Dubai - The Palm opened in 2019.
Opened on 5 February 2019 as the first W Escape in the Middle East. The design sets the curves of dunes and shoreline against the city's skyscrapers: a W sign patterned like a dried desert riverbed, a valet area modelled on a falaj, Orsoni glass mosaics, a five-storey atrium recalling desert citadels and 'The Soundwave', a 6.5-tonne, 30-metre light fixture of 640 glass pieces. Rooms have curved, tiled walls and Arabic graffiti of lyrics by Fairuz. At opening the hotel also housed Torno Subito, Massimo Bottura's first restaurant outside Italy.
