Yamashiro Onsen, Kagaべにや無何有
Beniya Mukayu
Beniya Mukayu is a 16-room ryokan founded in 1928 on Yakushiyama, the hill above the small spa town of Yamashiro Onsen in Kaga, where the main hall of the Yakuoin Onsenji temple once stood. Designed in a pared-back modern Japanese style by the architect Kiyoshi Sey Takeyama, it is run by the third-generation owner Kazunari Nakamichi and his wife Sachiko, with every room facing a forest garden of pines, cherries and moss.
