JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo opened in 2025.
The hotel takes the top floors of The Linkpillar 1 South, one of two 30-storey towers designed by Pickard Chilton with a joint venture of JR East Architectural Design, JR East Consultants, Nihon Sekkei and Nikken Sekkei for East Japan Railway Company's Takanawa Gateway City, on the former Shinagawa railyard. Interiors are by Yabu Pushelberg with Irie Miyake Architects & Engineers, in deep indigo and amber, with a chandelier modelled on Mount Fuji as seen from Takanawa, Kamakura-bori carving inspired by the Chōjū-giga scrolls above reception, and a Lasvit glass Tree House over the lobby lounge. It opened on 2 October 2025, the second JW Marriott in Japan after Nara, and received One MICHELIN Key in 2026.
