Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Bessou Ao no Za
A ryokan of 25 large suites on the shore of Lake Shikotsu in Shikotsu-Toya National Park, the top house of the Hokkaido Tsuruga Group's 'za' series, opened in May 2019. Every suite faces the lake with its own open-air hot-spring bath, and the lobby's eight-metre layered earth wall and Jomon and Ainu prayer patterns tell the story of the land.
