The building

The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza

A new 14-storey building developed by Mori Trust and designed, inside and out, by Kengo Kuma & Associates with Hazama Ando Corporation, with Ian Schrager; Kuma's idea was 'weaving', expressed in the latticed metal facade and vertical gardens. Rooms have walnut floors and walls, travertine and cream leather furniture and green marble basins, with art by Sayaka Maruyama and Takay Photography. The hotel soft-opened in December 2023 and opened officially on 14 March 2024.

The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon

Designed by Kengo Kuma with the vision of Ian Schrager; the sky lobby, Lobby Bar and Jade Room terrace are on level 31, and rooms use light wood furnishings.
