The Imperial Hotel, Kamikochi is a 74-room mountain hotel in Kamikochi, inside the Chubu-Sangaku National Park, opened in 1933 under a government drive for foreign tourism as Japan's first mountain resort hotel. It has a red triangular roof, log-cabin walls and a double-height lobby with a large fireplace, and the Hotaka range rises in front of it.
