Bettei Otozure is the eighteen-room annex of Otani Sanso, beside the Otozure River at Nagato Yumoto Onsen in Yamaguchi, a spa town about 600 years old, and takes no children under 13. Its theme is 'modern toji', a contemporary take on the bathing inn, with walnut and black-cherry interiors, tatami floors walked barefoot and a free-flowing open-air bath in every room.
