The Exchange is the former telephone exchange of the Royal Dutch Post and the Bank the former KAS Bank. The hotel was designed by Office WINHOV and Baranowitz Kronenberg Architects; it opened in October 2015 with 172 rooms in the Exchange, and the Bank's 66 rooms followed in early 2016.
