Katada, Shima-cho, on Ago BayCOVA KAKUDA
Cova Kakuda
COVA KAKUDA is a four-villa retreat opened on 20 June 2023 by the pearl dealer Kakuda Pearl on the site of its former pearl-culturing workshop, on a cove of Ago Bay in Ise-Shima National Park. The villas keep the old workshop's timber beams, and stays centre on the bay: wood-fired sauna, kayaking and SUP, pearl-farm visits and Japanese cooking from Shima seafood.
