Dar Global has appointed Gulf Asia Contracting to build the podium of Trump International Hotel & Tower, Dubai, the developer announced on 6 August 2026. Enabling works, carried out by Edrafor Emirates, are due to finish in September 2026, and handover is scheduled for December 2031.
"We are pleased to appoint Gulf Asia Contracting to deliver the podium construction," said Ziad El Chaar, Dar Global's chief executive. He told The National that 80 per cent of the inventory has already been secured, by buyers of about 40 nationalities, from India, Pakistan, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Russia among them.
The tower will stand about 350 metres tall over 80 floors, combining a five-star hotel, branded residences and The Trump, a private members' club. It is on Sheikh Zayed Road at the entrance to Downtown Dubai, with views over the Burj Khalifa and the Gulf, and was unveiled in 2025. The architect is Nikken Sekkei, and The National puts the cost at $1 billion. It is the fifth joint project between Dar Global and the Trump Organization, after others in Jeddah and Oman.
The residences range from one- to three-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom duplex penthouses, from 109 to 722 square metres. There are more than 500 homes, including two signature penthouses with sky pools, modelled on the Trump Tower penthouse on Fifth Avenue in New York. Three- and four-bedroom homes have been priced at about AED 4m to 5m, and each of the two penthouses at AED 75m (2026). The tower is also planned to have the highest outdoor swimming pool in Dubai.
With enabling works nearly done and a contractor appointed for the podium, the project has moved from announcement to construction, and most of the released homes have found buyers. Buyers should still plan on a long wait: handover is more than five years away, in December 2031.
For those comparing towers on the same stretch of the city, The St. Regis Residences, Downtown, Dubai and Waldorf Astoria Residences Dubai Downtown are both due earlier, in 2026 and 2028.
