Red Sea Global announced on 8 July 2026 that Six Senses AMAALA, in the Triple Bay area of AMAALA on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, would welcome its first guests from mid-July. The resort has 100 suites and villas, and alongside them sit the 25 homes of Six Senses Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay.
It is the second project between Red Sea Global and Six Senses, after Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea, which opened in 2023. Red Sea Global’s Group CEO, John Pagano, said Six Senses has “built a global reputation rooted in sustainability and local culture”.
According to Six Senses, the architecture draws on traditional Saudi coastal buildings, and the resort is set between beaches, a lagoon fringed with mangroves and a clifftop mesa. It is designed to achieve LEED Platinum. The residences are villas of three to six bedrooms, developed by Red Sea Global, with architecture by U+A and interiors by Studio Carter.
The Six Senses Spa has a longevity centre offering cryotherapy and PEMF therapy, a biohacking recovery lounge, an outdoor Watsu pool, a sound dome and separate thermal areas for men and women. There are three restaurants: Soraya on the mesa, serving Japanese and Latin American food; Joud, an all-day Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant; and Beach Shack. Bunna roasts coffee, Makhbaz is the bakery and Nafas is a cooking school.
The resort is 45 minutes by car from AlWajh International Airport, 20 minutes by seaplane, or two hours by road from Red Sea International Airport. Six more resorts are expected to open at the destination during the year, and when it is complete Triple Bay will have more than 1,600 hotel rooms across nine resorts. Four Seasons also has a resort at Triple Bay, with Four Seasons Private Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay within it.
Six Senses describes AMAALA as its second Saudi resort, and says Six Senses The Palm, Dubai is expected to open later in 2026, where the brand also has Six Senses Residences The Palm.
For a buyer, the residences now sit beside an operating resort, so the spa, the restaurants and the service the homes are bought for can be tried before committing. For a guest, this is a new Six Senses with a full spa on a part of the coast that is still opening up, with more hotels arriving over the coming months.
