NoMad is opening its first hotel in Asia Pacific. Reservations are now live for NoMad Singapore, which is set to open in late 2026 at the Cairnhill end of Orchard Road, on the site of the former Faber House.
The building is by WOHA, the Singapore practice, for the developer UOL Group, and it will be hard to miss: a planted façade with a waterfall running 14 storeys down it. Interiors are by Kevin Klein Design of Los Angeles, who have set NoMad’s New York look against Art Deco and the Peranakan shophouses of nearby Emerald Hill, in pale blues and greens with marble, burlwood and wool rugs.
There are 173 rooms across 12 floors, 25 of them suites. The 71 Atelier rooms are 32 square metres with a bathtub in the living area; the Parlour and NoMad Suites run to 42 and 43 square metres. Guests arrive on the fifth floor, at an open-air reception beside Lù bar, a terrace and the pool.
At the top of the building is NoMad Grill, a New York chophouse with dry-aged meat cooked over wood fire and a raw bar, and next to it The Tropicana Club, a cocktail bar that nods to both Havana’s Tropicana of 1939 and Singapore’s own of 1968. Sticky Fingers, at street level, will serve soft-serve sundaes. More than 1,860 artworks hang through the hotel, 90% of them by artists based in Singapore.
“As reservations go live for NoMad Singapore, we are incredibly excited to introduce the brand to new guests, and welcome back those that have come to know us well,” said Kristen Millar, chief brand officer, NoMad.
