Mandarin Oriental is scheduled to return to the heart of Makati, Manila in 2026, thanks to a collaboration between Ayala Land and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG). Located in the prestigious Ayala Triangle Gardens at the intersection of Paseo de Roxas and Makati Avenue, the new hotel will feature 276 guest rooms, luxurious dining options, and a world-class spa.
The original Mandarin Oriental was a cherished part of Makati’s skyline from 1976 until its closure in 2014. The new property aims to be a central feature of Makati’s ongoing transformation, in line with the city’s 25-year development plan focusing on sustainability, diversity, and livability.
“As a brand rooted in Asia, Mandarin Oriental has always been deeply connected to the region's growth and culture. We are excited to return to the Philippines and look forward to the opportunities ahead,” said Christoph Mares, Chief Operating Officer of MOHG.
Mariana Zobel de Ayala, Senior Vice President of Ayala, also shared her enthusiasm, stating: “We’re thrilled to bring Mandarin Oriental back to Makati. It was not only a physical landmark but a cultural icon that hosted many significant events.”
Stay tuned for further updates as the new hotel takes shape.
