The Danieli in Venice has reopened as Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel, Four Seasons announced on 30 July 2026. It stands on the Riva degli Schiavoni, facing the lagoon, and is the group's fourth property in Italy. Gruppo Statuto is named as Four Seasons' long-term partner in the hotel.
The hotel reopens with 120 rooms and suites. That will rise to 168 when the restoration of Palazzo Danieli Excelsior is finished in 2027. Pierre-Yves Rochon has renovated the other two buildings: Palazzo Dandolo, built in 1471 as the residence of the Dandolo family, and Palazzo Casa Nuova, which once housed the Treasury of the Venetian Republic.
According to Euronews, the work has given the rooms more spacious layouts and added Junior Suites and One-Bedroom Suites.
The rooftop Terrazza Danieli has been redesigned, with Adriano Rausa as executive chef. A spa follows in late 2026, with three treatment rooms, a sauna and a hammam.
The Danieli has operated as a hotel since 1822, and its guests have included Charles Dickens and Richard Wagner. Elsewhere in the city, The Gritti Palace stands on the Grand Canal.
For guests, the practical points are these: the hotel is open now, 48 more rooms follow in 2027 when the Palazzo Danieli Excelsior is restored, and the spa will not open until late 2026.
