Aman announces Aman Seoul with 49 residences in Cheongdam-dong

Aman and Shinsegae Property announced Aman Seoul on 2 September 2026, the brand's first project in Korea. It brings together a hotel, 49 branded residences, retail and cultural space, and an Aman Club in Cheongdam-dong, in the Gangnam District of Seoul. The homes are listed as Aman Residences, Seoul.

The tower will stand on the former Prima Hotel site, at 52-3 and 52-7 Cheongdam-dong, overlooking the Han River. It is planned with eight underground levels and 38 floors above ground, for about 70,000 square metres of floor area in all. The hotel, the residences, the shops and the cultural space will share the building.

The residences will be fitted out by Aman Interiors, with furnishings made for the project. The Aman Club is a members-only club with a pool, a fitness centre and a lounge.

The roles are divided between the two partners. Shinsegae Property leads planning, strategy and development, while Aman is responsible for architecture, design and operations under a long-term operating agreement. The project follows an agreement in July 2026 between Shinsegae Group and OKO Group to form a joint venture for Aman hospitality development.

In Asia, Aman's other residences include Aman Residences, Tokyo, completed in 2023, Aman Residences, Nai Lert Bangkok, and projects in Singapore and Niseko planned for 2028 and 2030.

No opening year, unit prices or investment figure was given in the announcement. For a buyer, Aman Seoul is for now a project to follow rather than to price: 49 homes in a mixed-use tower above the Han River, with the hotel and the Aman Club in the same building, and a timetable still to be set.
