Fuyacho Aneyakoji, Nakagyo, Kyoto俵屋旅館
Tawaraya
Tawaraya is an eighteen-room ryokan on Fuyacho street, Aneyakoji-agaru, in central Kyoto, founded in the Hōei era (1704–1711) by a textile merchant from Hamada and run by the Satow family ever since. Its sukiya rooms are each different, the ground-floor ones opening onto the garden and those on the upper floors looking down on it, with meals served in the room.
