Miyamasou
Miyamasou is a four-room restaurant-inn at Hanase in the mountains of northern Kyoto, founded in 1892 as the pilgrims' lodging of Bujo-ji, a mountain-ascetic temple, and run as a restaurant-inn since 1937. People come for the food: tsumikusa cuisine of plants foraged that day, river fish and game, served in sukiya rooms by a clear stream, with three MICHELIN stars since 2026.

Miyamasou takes some bookings only by telephone. Tell us your dates and our team in Japan books it for you, at the inn’s own rate. We ask for the room we would choose and look after everything else with the inn on your behalf: your preferences and requests, any special arrangement, from a celebration to a car from the station, and whatever you need before and during your stay. The price and cancellation terms are confirmed with you first.
Osaka International (Itami), via central Kyoto; Kansai International is farther.
