Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor opened in 1932. It was last renovated in 2019: six-month restoration of the rooms and period details: new bathrooms with Italian tiling and rain showers, lighting, built-in wardrobes; the lift ironwork and Art Deco stair railings restored.
Planned under Ernest Hébrard's Town Planning Service of Indochina as a 40-room hotel to replace the old bungalows for Angkor visitors, it opened in 1932 in French Art Deco style with local influences. Raffles rebuilt it from March 1996, reopening on 30 December 1997 with 119 rooms, a new west wing in matching style and three villas to the east of the pool; a 2019 restoration kept the period ironwork, the Art Deco stair railings and the tiled roof with its tiered concrete brackets.
