1 · 2 nightsBenesse HouseA museum with rooms on Naoshima, with the island's art open to guests in the evening; the ferry to Uno, the train to Okayama and the Shinkansen to Fukuyama, then about an hour by car, reach Setoda in about three hours.
2 · 2 nightsAzumi SetodaA ryokan in a merchant's house on Ikuchijima, for the island's lemon groves and the cycle route over the bridges; the ship's marina at Onomichi is about an hour by car, with boarding from 13:00.
3 · CruiseGuntûThe four-day western drifting voyage anchors off the Kutsuna Islands, Suo-Oshima and Miyajima before returning to Onomichi at about 11:00, from where the Shinkansen from Fukuyama and the train to Miyajimaguchi take about two hours.
4 · 2 nightsSekiteiA ryokan of villas and a stroll garden facing Miyajima, for an early ferry to the shrine before the day visitors; Hiroshima is about 30 minutes by train for the Shinkansen or the airport.
