The special cars
Cockpit Suite (car 6)
11 sq m · 1 on board
A private room for up to seven behind the driver's cab, with windows ahead as well as to the sides. Tobu calls it the largest private room on any private-railway limited express. Crew pass through it on their rounds.
Compartment (car 6)
A private room for up to four with a U-shaped sofa round a folding table, blue carpet and red and brown walls.
Cockpit Lounge (car 1)
Sofas for one, two or four in the car with the café counter; the interior takes the Nikko Kanaya Hotel and the old embassy villas of Nikko as its models. The four-person sofa is sold to parties of two or more.
Box Seat
Two seats facing each other, screened from the aisle by partitions: a half-private space for two.
Premium Seat (car 2)
Seats in pairs and singles, with electric recline, a movable neck-support headrest and a shell back so reclining does not touch the seat behind.
Before you go
Dining
No meals are served. GOEN CAFÉ SPACIA X, a counter in the Cockpit Lounge (car 1), sells Nikko coffee, craft beer including beers brewed for the train, and snacks and sweets, some from the Nikko Kanaya Hotel's bakery or devised by its head chef. Guests in the Cockpit Lounge, Cockpit Suite and Compartments use it freely; passengers in cars 2 to 5 can take away against an online ticket while slots last (about 20 parties a train). It is open from departure to Shimo-Imaichi going north and to Kasukabe coming back, and takes cards, IC cards and some code payments, not cash.
