The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu
The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu is a 48-room hotel made from the 1933 building of the former Kiyomizu Elementary School, with arched windows and its old staircases and beams kept, set back from Kiyomizu-zaka on a site of about 7,000 sq m a few minutes' walk below Kiyomizu-dera and the Yasaka Pagoda. Rooms average about 50 sq m, some with classic interiors in the old school, others contemporary; a guest lounge and a rooftop bar look out over the pagoda and the city, and there is no hot spring or spa.
