Seikanji Ryozan-cho, Higashiyama, Kyotoバンヤンツリー・東山 京都
Banyan Tree Higashiyama Kyoto
A 52-room hotel, Banyan Tree's first in Japan, opened in 2024 in the Ryozen area of Higashiyama, Kyoto, beside Kiyomizu-dera, on the site of Hotel Ryozen (1960 to 2019). Rooms are tatami-floored with hiba-wood tubs, eight have their own hot-spring bath, and the grounds hold a bamboo garden, a natural hot spring and Kengo Kuma's Bamboo Pavilion, the only Noh stage in a Kyoto hotel.
