The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert opened in 2010. It was last renovated in 2017: complete transformation under Ritz-Carlton management from December 2016 to May 2017, with a Ritz-Carlton Rainforest and spa and a revamped equestrian and activities centre.
Opened as Banyan Tree Al Wadi for RAK Hospitality Holding's RAK National Hotels. The Ritz-Carlton took over management from Banyan Tree on 15 December 2016, and after a complete transformation the resort was to be rebranded The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert from 1 June 2017.
